[ clem smiles! she feels very at home here with all of this. and she looks over ochako for a moment, considering. ]

You'll want something light. Well - lighter. A pistol or something. [ after all, shotguns can be a bit. much... ] I'll teach you to shoot one.

Then you're probably good. He probably taught you how to hold it right - he seems competent enough. Kind of a mess, but competent.

That means you mostly just need practice to get used to the recoil.

[ ... ] If we were somewhere else, I would say yeah. You should heal.

But this place is dangerous. And now - everyone here has access to these guns. I think... As long as you don't push yourself too hard, it might be better to make sure you can aim, and that you know what to expect from the recoil. At least a little bit.

Better to heal slow and have a sore arm - even a more permanent injury - than to wind up dead because you didn't practice while you had the chance.

Mm, I think you'll learn to adjust just by knowing when to expect it. You just need to make sure you squeeze the trigger in a smooth motion instead of pulling it too abruptly. At first you might over-anticipate the recoil and it'll usually make you kind of jerk down a bit before it even fires, and that'll lower your aim.

If you do it too fast you might end up yanking so hard you throw off your own aim. When you squeeze too quickly, your whole wrist could shift.

... Yeah. Kind of a double-edged blade though. Now everyone has access to these weapons.

I don't know - bullet wounds don't give us a lot to work with. Not when we're looking for suspects.

Mm, maybe. But you've seen the shit people are doing to bodies. If someone wants to obscure it, they can just keep shooting when the person's dead.

I think the only thing that'll narrow things down is one really precise shot. Anything else... [ could be anyone. ]

As long as you're sure you have good enough aim to not accidentally hurt anyone. And only put your finger on the trigger if you're ready to pull it.

If there's a disturbance like the other week's, it might be a bit chaotic for someone who's new to guns to just be shooting too recklessly.

Honestly? I think it's kind of the opposite. It's easy - that's why it's dangerous. Anyone can pull a trigger, anyone can aim to the wrong spot. Hurt themselves, or someone they didn't mean to.

... But I guess I don't know how to compare it to people with powers, yeah.

[ maybe people from ochako's world are just all super used to danger like this? ]
