[ it's dinner time! so ochako is sitting on the kitchen counter, kicking her feet, maybe humming lightly as she waits for the microwave to chime. when she spots clem, she gives her a smile and wave. ]

I'm not sure. I just came in for lunch and there was a huge mess - like, the microwave door was blown off. I think it was egg? So maybe we shouldn't try cooking eggs in it anymore, now that they've fixed it.

Oh, that's gotta be mochi! All wagashi's good, but that's definitely my favorite! Have you ever tried it?
Oh, you're missing out! It's a kind of rice cake, and it's usually filled with stuff - like red bean paste, or ice cream. You can find some with whole strawberries inside, too!
Yep! You can eat it with basically anything, but I like the sweet version.
I wonder if we could ask Rabbit-san or Fox-san for some...? Or maybe a recipe book... I've never made mochi before, but it can't be that hard. And I bet they'd want to try it, too!
