[ kano being in the kitchen scares me so we're going to the forest! ochako is, of course, charmed by the cute woodland creatures, but she's still keeping her distance... appreciating them from afar, like one might in a zoo. ]

It's like something out of one of those kid's movies...

[ okay maybe she's a little weirded out by how perfectly picturesque it all is too, but that's. fine. ]

[ There are bears in the forest.

Not in sight- not yet- but at least Kano has the presence of mind to be quiet and not attract any bears, or scare away all the other creatures, as surprisingly quiet as he is picking his way through the forest ground towards Ochako. ]

Kid's movie... Ah! Jumanji?

[ her voice is hushed, so as not to scare the animals. ]

Mm. Playing with wild animals is dangerous, but I do kind of want to pet them... Honestly, though, I was just thinking about how perfect everything out here looks. Not that I don't like it, but... it's kind of weird, isn't it?

[ well, that is true... kano definitely has a point here, but the thing is... ochako doesn't know what to do, and now there's all this pressure? hm. ]

Okay, but there's no way for us to know if there was anyone here in the first place. When they came to talk to us, it sounded like the whole place was empty before all of us got here.

Yeah, but they were obviously people. Fresh food in the kitchen, right? Gotta have just disappeared when we got here.

That's easy to assume, but this place doesn't seem to follow the same rules as any of our worlds. The leaders keep saying the Realm is talking directly to them, so... maybe the people who were here before were just part of the Realm itself.

[ she shrugs. ]

Or maybe they disappeared when we came here - like we all switched places, or something.

[ That shrug is one he's going to mirror, because the idea of this ~*~*Realm*~*~ being some sort of handwavy entity doesn't sit right with him, that things are just being waved off because of magic and concepts and things that have no proof. It's all pointless conjecture to him. ]

What for? There's no point to that. I think we're thinking about this the wrong way. I mean, we can talk theories until our brains ooze outta our ears, but we should figure out why things are happening, first. That narrows down the "what exactly happened," and from there we tease out the "how."

[ The "how"s don't matter, though. Just the "what"s and "what now"s. ]
