[He lowers his middle finger to raise his ring finger next while Dorothy maintains one finger over it. Then he holds up the two fingers he previously raised, so that three are now up.]
Next, tap each finger with your forefinger before forming a fist above them.
Well, a lot of it I couldn't make sense of, but the movement with the temple and the... er, pincer, as well as the gestures at the end could have been referring to the monster that devours our memories-- or the nova, rather.

[It's a simple step. Once that's over, he moves swiftly onward.]
