He taught me how to hold a gun when I got the healing gun, and he was teaching me how to shoot better so that I'd be able to do it right, and not hurt anyone unless I really mean to. He wouldn't do any of that if he didn't care about the people here.
He taught me things like that, too. Like how not to get kidnapped. [Hmm.] He doesn't treat me like I'm too young to do things or understand things, so. . . I like that about him.
And. . . he got really angry at me, when I used that gem on Kano-san. But when I talked to him about it, I realized he was only angry because he felt so bad he hadn't checked for the scalpels. He really doesn't want to be responsible for anyone getting hurt.
Me, too. He doesn't take us at face value, and that's... nice.
He's a little rough around the edges, maybe, but the whole time we've been here, he's just wanted to help us. I do think that he would have killed someone splintering if he was asked, but... he's a good person.

But I do think there's a difference between choosing someone who did hurt someone, even if it was for the good of the realm, and choosing someone who hasn't done anything.
