[ softly: ] It's not that I don't think helping the leaders isn't important, but... if someone's life is in danger, I have to think about that first. I think they'd want us to focus on that, too.

[ sometimes being a hero means recognizing that you can't help everyone all at once. it's not like the leaders will be forgotten. ]

If everyone's going to have weapons, though, they need to know how to use them right. Cervantes-san and Archer-san had those self-defense classes... I wonder if they'd be able to help with that, too.

I know. [he does at least acknowledge that point. it's hard knowing what the right choice is. who to save. who to help. why can't you just help everyone?]

A few of us know how to use different kinds of weapons, too. We could have a couple of teachers training everybody but that still makes it easy to know who's stronger than others. And who might be an easy target.

Maybe, but I still think it's a good idea. It's better for us to be a little prepared for something like that than not at all.

Yup. [he absolutely agrees. even with possible consequences, it's better to be safe than sorry.] We'll take it one step at a time. See who needs to learn and who has an idea already.

And while we’re doing that… if we can find out why this is happening at all - why someone would kill the others - then maybe we can put a stop to it.

I hope so. [there has to be a way, doesn't there?] All we can keep doing is talking to each other. Somebody has to be able to point us in the right direction. Even if we don't know the questions to ask yet.
