[closes my eyes ray you know him, he will 100% just forget it for now.]
Well yeah. Our whole island's pretty small. [he'll lean against a nearby desk, folding his arms over his chest.] I bet you're never bored here either with so many people around. Is Present Mic another hero?
I haven't really been to school for a while, but...[he absolutely is the kind of person to fall asleep in class, and the sheepish smile on his face says so.] I still did fine.
[he can't help but laugh it off because he knows how it seems, and he knows most schools wouldn't let him get away with it. but at her question he seems to light up again.]
You really want to see it? It's pretty different from this.
[it takes a moment, but soon ochako will see the classroom change to somewhere a little warmer and brighter. the ocean lays ahead of them, and under their feet is clean and bright sand. there's a large island ahead of them across a short body of water, about the distance of a quick trip by rowboat. if she turns around, she'll find that they're on a different island that looks more like a children's playground. there's a treehouse behind them built into the cliff's face, and a bridge connects from the island to a smaller portion that overhangs in the water with a long tree perfect for sitting. the time of day seems to be a sunset. you know canon, ray, it's pretty much the ending of 3 but without the people.]
[ yeah, that sounds like what a place like this should be named. ]
It's beautiful. I can't believe you grew up someplace like this! [ laughing, as she twirls through the sand. ] But you had to leave for hero work, right?
Sometimes I can't either. But it's been my home forever. [he's walking down toward the water, letting ochako enjoy herself.]
I did have to leave though...the first time wasn't really by choice. But every other time after that, it was because we still had work to do to save the worlds.
Mm, I think I get it. It’ll be better to have time with them once your work is done. And, I guess, missing people makes you love them more, too, and it’s that much better when you finally get to see them again.
That's exactly it. I know they'll still be there waiting for me and that they understand everything I have to do, but I never stop thinking about them. We're always connected to each other anyway. Not like I'm ever really that far from them.

she laughs, though! ] No, it's never boring. Everyone in our class is pretty funny - I think you'd like them!
And yea, he is. His quirk is basically making his voice loud? So he can't stand it when things are quiet. He's our English teacher.

That'd be a really good quirk to have in a place like this. [shouty...] But guess that means you can't get away with sleeping in his class.

[ laughing oh my god ]
Do you fall asleep in class a lot, Sora-kun?

[ just picturing his face is. so funny. after a good laugh, she hops down from the desk. ]
You said you're from an island? Would you show me?
no subject
You really want to see it? It's pretty different from this.
no subject
Yeah! Why not? We might as well take advantage of this place while it's here, right? And I bet you miss home, too, huh?
no subject
Yeah, you're right. Okay. We can change it! [...] I've just gotta think about it and the room will take care of the rest, right?

...this is it.

...I've never seen anywhere like it before. This is really where you're from?

Welcome to Destiny Islands. [he points across the water.] The main island's over there, that's where everybody lives. But this is our play island.

...Sorry you have to keep leaving, Sora-kun. The world may need your help, but I hope you can come back soon.
no subject
...yeah. I hope so, too. [...] It might be a while, but I'll get there someday. There are still some things we need to take care of.
But I don't regret it, you know?
